University Police at the College at Brockport detained students part of an unrecognized fraternity for questioning Wednesday evening.

Officials at the college say a search warrant was issued at the fraternity house, which border the Brockport campus. This was part of an ongoing investigation involving hazing.

Members of the fraternity, known as the Delts, were inside when police arrived. This fraternity has not been recognized by the college since 2001.

University police raided the house and the officers say what they found inside was shocking.

“It looked terrible. It’s not any sort of house that I would want my children living in.”

Three students were seen heading back to the house from the University Police station around 1 a.m. Thursday morning.

The college said in a statement, “We regularly educate and warn students and their parents of the dangers associated with such unrecognized groups and will continue to do so. We have zero tolerance for this group’s behavior.”
