Villa of Hope has received 2.14 million to construct a medically supervised withdrawal and stabilization treatment facility.
The facility in Monroe County will be open for 24 hours and have 18 new beds offering patients short-term medical treatment.
The services will be offered to people 16 years old and up for inpatient detox and help them transition into specialized post-detox programs and other long-term treatment services.
Officers responded Tuesday morning to a domestic incident in the Town of Sweden and have begun an active police investigation.
The suspect involved in the domestic dispute on Redman Rd. is now in custody at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Redman Road was closed due to the investigation, but has since been reopened.
West Irondequoit Schools just launched a safety tip line.
The line will allow community members to call if they see anything suspicious or dangerous.
